Matthew 26:53-54 (NKJV)
Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels? How then could the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it must happen thus?
Jesus, knowing the Scriptures and everything written about Him, was fully submitted to God’s will.
He chose to defer to the Word of God, desiring that the Scriptures be fulfilled in their entirety.
Though He had the power to call down more than twelve legions of angels, He chose not to use it.
Jesus did not resist the arrest, not because He was powerless, but because His purpose was to glorify God.
There was much He could have done, but He chose to stay focused on fulfilling God’s plan for His life.
He paid the price in full so that we might live.
Dear all, I pray you will come into the fullness of God’s plan for your life.
And that you will not be moved by what you’re able to do, but by what God has called you to do, in Jesus name. Amen.
JESUS is the reason for the season!
