CHANGE A NEGATIVE ATTITUDE
In the novel LOVE FEVER, Mrs. Onabajo told her daughter, “I can laugh about it now but at that time, it wasn’t a laughing matter. I became aggressive, abusive, and depressed. … Things got so bad that I realised the only solution would be for me to change. To love him without asking for anything in return. Little by little, things improved.”
She raised a finger for emphasis, “But things improved because I changed my attitude.”
The truth is that a negative attitude can destroy lives, homes, a good relationship, and divine purpose, which is why the Bible instructs:
throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception.
Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes.
Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.
Ephesians 4:22-24 NLT
To change a negative attitude, you must be willing to change; surrender your life to God; pray for help; and change your thought pattern by the renewal of your mind through God’s words.
I pray this year brings everything that will make you smile in Jesus name.
