STOP LETTING EVERY NEGATIVE WORD YOU HEAR BOTHER OR HURT YOU
In the novel OH BABY!, Richard told his wife, Tammy, “It’s one of those things that happen in life. We can’t prevent people from talking about us but we can prevent their words from affecting us. I’ve already pushed it aside.”
He added, “You know very well that what the woman said is not true. You shouldn’t cry when you hear such talks.”
Richard was right.
You should not allow people’s negative words ruin your day, such words should be pushed aside. If necessary, pray about the comment, cast your care upon God, and be focused.
You’re bound to come across people who talk carelessly. If it’s possible for you to correct such people or to express yourself, you can. However, you should pray for wisdom and choose your words with care.
But in some cases, giving your opinion may not be necessary. Let God guide you.
Work on your heart and walk with God. Control your thoughts so that people’s careless words won’t hurt you.
Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.
