DIVINE INSTRUCTIONS to live by

(294) Be a good example in all ways.
In the novel ‘Is It Me You’re Looking For?’, I wrote:
Looking up from the Bible, the guest minister said, “There are some professing Christians who have chosen to cohabit, following not the word of God but their own desires …. Sometimes, these professing Christians claim they are not sleeping with their partners and nothing immoral is going on …. Whenever you live together or sleep over at weekends, you would be opening yourself up to the temptation of immorality which the Bible tells you to avoid. Besides, whenever a man and a woman live together, they are believed to be sleeping together. In First Thessalonians chapter five verse twenty two, the Bible warns us to flee from every appearance of evil. Jesus must be honoured and glorified in our lives everyday. Christians who cohabit with people they are not married to destroy their testimonies of being Christians and break God’s words. They also give a wrong message to people around them, becoming a stumbling block. The Bible talks about being a good example.” ….
Christians are instructed in the Bible to be good examples in all that they do and at all times, having high regard for integrity and truth.
And in all things show yourself to be an example of good works, with purity in doctrine, having the strictest regard for integrity and truth, dignified, sound and beyond reproach in instruction, so that the opponent of the faith will be shamed, having nothing bad to say about us.
Titus 2:7-8 AMP
Let no one look down on you because of your youth, but be an example and set a pattern for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in moral purity.
1 Timothy 4:12 AMP
The ministers of the gospel are not the only ones who should be good examples, every one who claims to have received Jesus as personal Lord and Saviour should strive to be a good example to others to follow.
Be a good example in your private or public conversations, run away from every appearance of evil, live an honourable life, and seek to please God.
I pray this year brings everything that will make you smile in Jesus name.
