DIVINE INSTRUCTIONS to live by

( 217) Take God at His word
In the novel Sea of Regrets, I wrote:
While praying for them one after the other, the pastor suddenly stopped, looked at the congregation and said, “I can hear God saying that He’s giving some people children.”
“Halleluya!” “Amen!” The congregation shouted.
“Those of you who are married and are believing God for children, receive yours in Jesus name!”
“Amen!”
He glanced over the congregation as if looking for someone, then pointing in the direction of Lola and Bori, he said, “That my sister, come.”
Lola looked at the people around her, not sure of who he was calling.
“That sister in the flowery red dress and black hat.” He said.
Shocked, Lola stood.
“Come.” With shaking legs, she went to the front.
“God is giving you children.”
Lola burst into tears.
“Are you married?” He asked.
“Yes.”
“How many children do you have?”
Sobbing, she shook her head.
“Glory to God!” He said. “God said He has heard your prayers and is wiping away your tears.”
Lola fell down under the anointing.
“Hallelujah! Bring her up! Bring her up!” He said.
The female ministers who were around lifted her.
“Is your husband around?” He asked Lola.
“Yes.” She answered.
“Let her husband come.” He announced.
Bori was already on his way to the front.
“Are you her husband?”
“Yes sir.” Bori answered.
The same anointing he felt at the beginning of the service enveloped him now and he found himself shaking a little. I hope I won’t fall down.
“Hug your wife.” The G.O said.
Bori turned to his wife and held her tightly.
“Receive your children without further delay in Jesus name!” The G.O shouted.
The congregation said Amen.
“In nine months time!”
“Amen!”
“I decree, in nine months’ time, you will hold your babies in your hands, in Jesus name!”
When he finished praying, he said they could go back to their seats, and Bori had to support Lola as her legs were still shaking.
On the way home, Bori was asking her questions about the service and she answered. Still baffled, he asked, “Did he know you or something?”
“No, this was his first time of coming to the parish since I started worshipping there. Besides, do you remember that Pastor Nosa said the same thing the day he was praying for us, that we would have children?”
Yes, he remembered.
She prayed, thanking God for giving them children, and Bori said a loud Amen.
“I will be very happy if it happens.” He said.
“It will happen in Jesus name.” …….. Nine months after, she gave birth to a set of twins.
God wants you to take Him at His word. If He has said it, He will do it. Hold on to His promises.
For the Strength of Israel will not lie nor relent. For He is not a man, that He should relent.”
