DIVINE INSTRUCTIONS to live by, in Year 2020
(30 ) When you want to pray, shut the door to everything that can bother you, and pray to God.
Jesus told His disciples, “But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. (Matthew 6:6 NKJV)
This is a definite instruction given by Jesus concerning prayer.
We are supposed to go into our room and shut the door. This however does not mean that you can only pray in your room.
Jesus Himself often went to a mountain or garden to pray. What it means is that we should be alone, away from disturbances, so we can have some time with God alone.
Moving completely away from people may not be possible some times however, because of work, school, or family responsibilities, but we can learn to be alone with God even at such times.
You can pray to God while working or cooking or in the bathroom, or on the bus.
The important thing is for you to shut the door of your heart to disturbances and focus on God.

And after He had dismissed the crowds, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray. When evening came, He was there alone,
Mark 1:35 ESV
And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, He departed and went out to a desolate place, and there He prayed.
I pray this year brings everything that will make you smile in Jesus name.
