The Bible does not say that it is wrong or a sin for a woman to marry a younger man but it does say that we should ‘count the cost’ before making decisions.
Before going into the relationship, there are factors to be considered e.g. Is this what i want? Does he really want an older woman?
If the age gap is not much, fine, but if it’s a number of years, then both of them have to pray and be sure they can handle it. An older woman/younger man marriage takes understanding, wisdom, love, and committment, to make it work. In the beginning, the age doesnt seem to matter much but after some years, the real truth and the motive comes out.
And so, I will ask, whats the age gap? And what’s the reason for wanting to marry this younger man? It will be wonderful if the man and the woman involved are mature Christians, love each other and are sure God is involved. Bottomline – whether younger or older, respecting the words & the roles set by God are more important than age difference.
