(The importance of education)
I’m presently reading the story of a Nigerian man, and how he succeeded. His mother was an illiterate who knew the value of education. There wasn’t much encouragement from her husband but she insisted that her son must have western education. The young boy eventually started primary school when he was about 8 years old.
With support from his mother and financial aid from his elder brother, he had primary and secondary school education. This was good enough for many people, but not him. He wanted to be the first person in his family to have University education, having realised that education opens doors to opportunities, and creates lots of ways to go ahead in the future.
There were financial constraints, but through hardwork and determination, he achieved his dream.
Today, he’s one of Nigeria’s brilliant lawyers, a high achieving industrialist, the Chairman of several companies, founder and co-founder of several industrial and agricultural projects. He built hospitals, and funds several educational scholarship schemes, etc.
This is to remind you about the importance of education, and encourage you not to give up. Make sure that your children are educated. Do your part, put your trust in God, and He will do His part.
It shall be well in Jesus name.
The Bible says a lot about the process of education, and it begins with the parent and child.
Parents are commanded to nurture their children in the Lord (Ephesians 6:4), which carries the idea of training, education, instruction and discipline.
As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.
Daniel 1:17 KJV
God will help us, so we can provide for our children, in Jesus name
