Excerpts from the novel – SEA OF REGRETS

The cab dropped him off at the hotel and at the reception, he gave the payment details to the two young men seated at the desk and was given the key to his room.
“Thank you.” He told them and left, in search of the room.
He found it easily, inserted the key and opened it. He stepped in and just as he was about to slam the door shut, he saw that a half-naked light complexioned young lady was lying in the bed, smiling at him.
“Wha-t?!” He exclaimed and stood still as he wondered, Am I in a wrong room?
“Er, I’m sorry … I must be in a wrong room,” he said, reaching for the door to make a quick retreat.
“No, no. It’s your room, please come. I’ve been waiting for you.” The young lady said.
Still trying to make sense of what was happening, he asked, “Who are you?”
Some of the words and the stories that the G.O of The Life Church said in the sermon that he listened to flashed through his mind. He also remembered the story of Joseph in the Bible which he learned while growing up, and how he ran from Potiphar’s wife.
He held the door open, telling himself that he might have to run this evening…
