I’ll start by reminding us about God’s will and purpose for marriage.
God’s will is for a Christian lady to marry a Christian man.
And His purpose is to populate His kingdom, for the Christian couple to come together in unity and raise their children for God.
Men and women in the house, God brought you here so He can get your attention, and talk to you.
You are supposed to work together with your spouse, and raise children for God, who will be ministers of God.
But I sometimes see Christian ladies marrying unbelievers.
This is a bad example.
An error.
And it breaks God’s heart.
I am bringing it up because the word of God makes it clear that parents have a role to play
Most of the time, the daughter tells the mother first, about her relationship with the unbeliever.
I’ve realised that some mothers don’t know what the will of God is, when it comes to their desires.
In Deuteronomy 7, God told parents,
Do not take their daughter for your son
And do not give your daughter to their son!
Lobatan.
That means, as a Christian parent, don’t approve an ungodly relationship.
As for me and my house, we shall serve the Lord.
Encourage your daughter or son to wait for the right person.
Christian Parents, I want you to promise God to serve and honour Him with your household.
When a Christian marries a non Christian, that person has chosen the enemy’s side, to destroy God’s will. We will not be the devil’s agent in Jesus name.
