Today, I’ll post something that you can share with your children and the children around you. It is also to show you how to share the word of God with the young ones.
Be blessed as you read this writeup which I came across.
Rewards from Father
Caden was adopted when he was ten. Before that, he never had a home or a family. He had been hurt and scared most of his life, so at first he was angry with his new family all the time. Then slowly, as his new family continued to love him unconditionally, his anger began to fade.
One day he found a present on his bed. He took it downstairs and asked, ”What is this? It’s not Christmas and my birthday was months ago.”
His dad said, ”You’re part of our family now, and we wanted to give you something special.”
Caden eagerly unwrapped the present. The gift was a Bible, and inside was a family tree with names written in. Right there was Caden’s name printed alongside the names of his new brother and sister.
“Wow.” Caden was quiet for a moment. He ran his fingers over the leather cover, then looked up at his parents. “How can I ever thank you?”
“You’re our son now.” His mom said. “Just saying thank you is enough.”
Like Caden, God has adopted everyone who believes in Jesus as His sons and daughters. God is the best Father you can imagine, and He gives us wonderful gifts – just because He loves us so much.
Think about this:
What gifts has God given to you? A family? Friends? Your home?
Make a list of everything you can think of. Then thank God for His gifts of love to you.
Memory verse: Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights. James 1:17 NIV
