The Lord rewards!
By: Pastor Taiwo Iredele Odubiyi
God chose Saul to be the king of Israel but when he got there, he began to disobey God. At a time, Saul was looking for David, a young warrior who God used to deliver Israel, to kill him, but God protected David.
One day, David found him, asleep and defenseless. David could have killed him but he did not because he knew that God would not want him to kill Saul. David chose to please God.
When Saul woke up and knew what happened, he promised not to kill David again, and even prayed for David.
He said, “For if a man finds his enemy, will he let him get away safely? Therefore may the Lord reward you with good for what you have done to me this day.”
I Samuel 24:19 NKJV
Lesson:
When we choose to obey God, He rewards us. Pleasing God and living for Him is never in vain.
Let us keep our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith.
Prayer:
*Thank God for encouraging you today with these words.
*Ask Him to show you what He wants you to do, how you may please Him (pray in Jesus name).
And as you please God, He will reward you, in Jesus name.
