What the Bible says about decision making:

In bed much later, Bode was still thinking about the outing with Fuoma and her confession that she was no longer a Christian. He knew that it was possible for a Christian to be deceived by satan and backslide – but Fuoma?! Not once did it occur to him that she might have backslidden. There was nothing about her appearance that revealed the state of her heart. When he saw her most unexpectedly last week Friday, going for lecture, she was decently dressed, no cleavage showing, no outrageous dressing, and no heavy makeup. And today, she was properly dressed, and was nice and friendly.

What could have made her backslide? Was it because a man disappointed her or her needs were not being met? Was that the reason for her WhatsApp status?

Whatever the challenge was, it shouldn’t have made her backslide and go back into the world, he concluded. No challenge should make a Christian lose faith in God and turn away from the right way.

He took a deep breath. Well, he might not know what changed her but one thing he knew was that he could no longer consider her for marriage. A lady who was not a Christian was definitely not God’s will for him. Case closed.
