DIVINE INSTRUCTIONS to live by

( 86) Don’t allow your past to hinder you.
Shake yourself from the dust, arise; Sit down, O Jerusalem! Loose yourself from the bonds of your neck, O captive daughter of Zion!
Isaiah 52:2 NKJV
Some people hold back while some others turn back from following God or doing more for Him, because of their past. They feel ashamed and guilty, having made some costly mistakes.
For others, they were hurt and are still hurting. They have known heartbreak, pain, and disappointment.
Others are holding on to anger or bitterness from the past.
If your past has been affecting you in a negative way, God is saying to you – Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28)
If you have not made Jesus the Lord of your life, you need to. That’s the starting point. When you do, God forgives and forgets about your past and all that might have happened. The slate is wiped clean and you now have a new beginning.
With Jesus as your Lord, you are no longer your own. You now belong, not to your past, but to God.
Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.
