DIVINE INSTRUCTIONS to live by, in Year 2020

(42 ) Cling to what is good.

To cling to is to firmly hold on to or stay very close to, something or someone in such a way that the thing or person does not get away.

For example, a man in love clings to his wife.

Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
Genesis 2:24 KJV

However, you need to know that good is not good unless it’s in agreement with the word of God and will glorify God.

Something may seem good but not right, for no one is good but God. (Mark 10:18)

You also need to know that there cannot be a clinging or cleaving without a leaving. If you will cling to what is good, you must leave what is bad.

Jesus said, “You cannot serve two masters.” No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. He cannot serve God and mammon. (Luke 16:13 NKJV)

And so, cling to what is good, and hate everything that dishonours God.

Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.
Romans 12:9 NKJV

Test all things; hold fast what is good.
I Thessalonians 5:21 NKJV

I pray this year brings everything that will make you smile in Jesus name.
