DIVINE INSTRUCTIONS to live by, in Year 2020
(40 ) Do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God;
because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
I John 4:1 NKJV
The verse above puts the responsibility on you to test every spirit. It’s a command.
If you believe a false prophet or false prophecy without testing the spirit behind it, it would be your fault.
Spirits should be tested because satan can counterfeit the works of God.
For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you beforehand.
Matthew 24:24-25 NKJV
Counterfeit is to make a copy of something with the intent to deceive people.
2 Corinthians 11:14 ESV
And no wonder, for even satan disguises himself as an angel of light.
Jesus said by their fruits you shall know them!
This is because these false prophets may be able to fake the works of God but they can’t live like a true servant of God, in righteousness.
“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.
A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.
Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
Matthew 7:15, 18, 20 NKJV
