DIVINE INSTRUCTIONS to live by, in Year 2020
(37 ) Continue to have sexual relations with your spouse.
In my novel OH BABY!, a husband told some people, “My wife and I have been struggling in this area for some time and I’m afraid it might get out of hand. … everything is okay but this.”
As I pointed out in the novel, sex was God’s idea, not a man’s or satan’s idea, even though some people because of their misunderstanding of God’s purpose for sex have perverted and redefined it to suit their purpose.
Sex is an important part of marriage, it is biblical.
Outside marriage or before marriage, it is wrong and destructive, and could lead to very serious problems.
A spouse has sexual responsibilities or duties in marriage.
1 Corinthians 7:3 makes it clear.
The husband must fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband.
I pointed out in the novel that giving excuses when it comes to sex is not only a wife’s thing, some husbands also give excuses, but that’s not right.
But because of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband.
1 Corinthians 7:2
The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband shares with her; and likewise the husband does not have authority over his body, but the wife shares with him .
1 Corinthians 7:4
Do not deprive each other, except perhaps by mutual consent for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer, but come together again so that Satan will not tempt you to sin because of your lack of self-control.
1 Corinthians 7:5
I pray this year brings everything that will make you smile in Jesus name.
