DIVINE INSTRUCTIONS to live by, in Year 2020
(35 ) Have true love for your spouse.
True love is a love that is not false.
It is sincere, genuine, real, dedicated, loyal, and firm.
1Corinthians 13:4-8 give a definition.
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 ESV
To have or identify true love, you need to turn to God, the One who instituted marriage.
There is no true love without God, for God is love.
You must know what God’s word says about love, relationship, marriage, how you are supposed to live, and how to have a healthy relationship / marriage.
The following verses reveal true love.
Romans 5:8 ESV
But God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 8:38-39 ESV
For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
