DIVINE INSTRUCTIONS to live by, in Year 2020
(34 ) Love God with all your heart.
You might have been wondering – what exactly does God want of me?
Moses made it very clear and simple in Deuteronomy 6:5 when he said, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.
And in Mark 12:30, Jesus repeated the instruction. “And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment.
Loving God with all your heart, soul, mind, strength means loving Him with your whole being – everything in you.
When you love God the way He wants you to love Him – with all your heart, and strength, there will be no room for another god in your life, and therefore, no room for confusion.
When you love Him with all your heart, you will please Him.
When you love Him with all your heart, you will love Him above all things.
When you love Him with all your heart, you will love Him at all times, no matter what is happening in your life.
When you love Him with all your heart, you will obey Him.
John 14:15 ESV
“If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.
John 14:23-24 ESV
Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word, and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. Whoever does not love Me does not keep My words. And the word that you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.
