Be confident about what you bring to the table

Be confident about what you bring to the table (By: Pastor Taiwo Iredele Odubiyi)

To bring something to the table is to bring or add something positive, to make a situation better, and when it comes to a relationship, it means the assets or qualities that a person has to offer a relationship to make it work.

This is to make you know that you should not go into a relationship just to take, you should be an asset. Have something to offer.

However, before a person can offer or provide something that will benefit a relationship, the person must possess the thing, because you cannot give what you don’t have. Note also, that every good and perfect gift comes from God, and without God you can do nothing. (James 1:17)

I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. (John 15:5 NKJV)

And so, if you will add something positive to a relationship, you must discover who you are, know your purpose, know your worth, and know God.

Develop yourself, have a healthy self esteem, and let your confidence be in the Lord. Believe in yourself, your abilities, and God.

For if there is first a willing mind, it is accepted according to what one has, and not according to what he does not have. (II Corinthians 8:12 NKJV)
